Brooke Healey

Brooke Healey is a 4-year old girl who lives in New Providence. She has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Giloma (DIPG). This type of tumor has a 98% fatality rate, as it is located in the pons sack, a vital part of the brain that controls many organs and even consciousness. Her parents, Stefani and Steve, are both NPHS graduates.  In addition, although her father is now a teacher and wrestling coach in Madison, he used to teach right here at our own Middle School.  Also, Brooke’s grandfather Al Elefante is the founder and owner of Elefante Music here in New Providence. Due to the increasing cost of medical treatment, the family needs to fundraise money in order to pay for radiation treatment among other things. The Healeys and the Elefantes need all of your hopes and prayers during this difficult time in their lives.

Here at NPHS, there have been many fundraisers including a bracelet sale to high school and middle school students, which was coordinated by Middle School guidance counselor Kim Chrisostomedes.
