Pioneers Bounce Back Against Bound Brook

The Pioneer football team is back on track. On Friday night October 18, the Pioneers took on a talented Bound Brook team. Coming off of a tough loss, they knew they needed to perform at their very best, and they did, winning 42 – 0.

Senior running back CJ Kliesch carried the team. He had three touchdowns on the night (two rushing, one receiving). He had the first score of the night with a great 30 yard run.

“We had a really tough loss last week, and everyone was itching to play this week. We played great and it was a well needed win,” said Kliesch after the game. He also caught a 70 yard hook and ladder pass from Junior QB Jack Harvey.

Harvey, who had over 150 passing yards on the night, had another great game connecting with his favorite receivers, Senior Jeff Doran and Senior Bryan Sherman. Doran also scored a defensive touchdown on a fumble recovery in the end zone.

The Pioneers are now 5-1 and playing as strong as ever. Next week, they will take on Manville.
