As we dive into the fall season, the Marching band is deep into rehearsals in preparation for the competitive season. The pride and class of New Providence will perform at its first competition on October 7th in Somerville, NJ. The following week, on October 14th, the band will perform at Metlife Stadium for the Yamaha Cup. Stick around for the halftime of upcoming football games to support the marching band. The band’s next football game performance is Saturday October 21st at home as the Pioneers take on Roselle Park. The following Friday, October 27th, is another home game against Brearley.

So, how does the marching Band rehearse and prepare for these competitions and football games? This Saturday, October 7th, is the chance to get an inside look on the breakdown of the many components that contribute to the show as a whole. Anyone is welcome to come to the Fall Preview from 2-3:30 to understand how each mini-section, or “chunk”, of the show relates to the overall theme and build of the performance.
