At almost every fast food chain, you can order a plain meal of chicken nuggets. The real question is: which restaurant has the best ones? I wanted to solve this debate for myself, so I tried and rated the classic 4 piece chicken nuggets from Chick-Fil-A, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Popeyes.

Cost: $3.29 (4 piece)

I was overall disappointed with McDonald’s chicken nuggets. Without sauce, they are bland and dry. Trying them with sauce completely changes the experience, but these nuggets have too little flavor and crispiness for my liking. While they are an average size nugget, the taste is subpar.

While Chick-Fil-A is known for their chicken, I did not find these nuggets to be exceptional. They had decent crispiness and flavor, but simply do not compare to other nuggets on this list because of their small size. They deserve a decent rating, and worth eating again.

Wendy’s chicken nuggets pleasantly surprised me. They had great flavor and crispiness, while being a decent size. I thoroughly enjoyed them, and would definitely go back to try again.

These chicken nuggets were phenomenal, and well deserving of the number one spot. They are the crispiest and have the best flavor. They are brined with a moist, salted flavor underneath the crispy breading. They had the largest size as well, and I would highly recommend trying these nuggets.

Overall, every restaurant provided a similar price for 4-piece chicken nuggets. While they had varying flavor and crispiness, all nuggets are undeniably better with sauce.
