Having a daily routine can promote low stress levels, help you form good habits, help improve your health, increase your productivity, and enhance your focus. There’s a lot of research that states how having a good routine helps with mental health. It also states how it helps you to look forward to the things you like doing.

According to “The Importance of Maintaining Structure and Routine During Stressful Times” on Verywell mind.com: “While it’s important to get the essentials done, be sure to find things that you can look forward to”.

Research has shown that having a checklist of the things you need to get done makes it more fun to get them done because you feel accomplished when checking things off.

“When we don’t feel motivated to do things, it is very easy to procrastinate doing them and they will continue to get pushed for the next day and the next day,” NYU psychologist and professor Rachel Goldman says.

It’s also really important to stay organized in general, like having a clean room, or keeping your closet neat. Lots of studies have shown that when having a clean room kids feel more organized and will want to get things done.

Many people find that they have felt more organized and less stressed when having a good daily routine.

It’s important for everyone to have good mental health, and a routine can help.

According to Verywell mind.com, this can also help your physical health:“Having a routine can be helpful at any time, particularly if you are trying to establish healthy habits.”

Healthy meals will help to maintain your weight and provide the necessary nutrients to keep you healthy and improve concentration and your energy level. Exercising regularly makes your body feel better and keeps you healthy. A sleep routine is also important.  The lack of the proper amount of sleep can develop into mental problems such as depression.

By developing a good daily routine you will help to reduce anxiety, be more relaxed and be less overwhelmed when things happen during the day that could be upsetting. Once you follow a good routine you’ll start to see improvements in many things.
