After eight-two games, the best NBA teams battle out to see who is the best team. The playoffs started on April 18 with the best sixteen teams fighting to win it all.

The first round was exciting with the Pistons and 76ers both making 3-1 series comebacks, which is the first time this has happened since 2016. The Cavaliers beat the Raptors in game seven and they will now play the Pistons in the second round. The Pistons are the favorites to win the series, but they struggled against Magic in round one who were considered to be the worst team in the playoffs.

The 76ers will play the Knicks who beat the Hawks in game six. The 76ers are in the same situation as the Pistons, except they are not the favorites against the Knicks.

The Timberwolves beat the Nuggets in game six, so they will play the Spurs who beat the Trail Blazers in game five. The Spurs are the favorites for this series since they are arguably the best team in the league, but the Timberwolves have found ways in the past to beat teams that are considered to be much better than them.

The final matchup will be the Thunder, who swept the Suns, and the Lakers, who beat the Rockets in game six. The Thunder were the champions last season and they continue to be the most dominant team in the entire NBA, so it will be a tough series for the Lakers and Lebron James. The Thunder are favorites to win it all again this year, but there have been many times in the past where the top team did not win it all.

As of May 11, the Pistons lead the Cavaliers 2-1 in the series, and whoever closes it out will play the Knicks who swept the 76ers. The Spurs and Timberwolves are tied in their series and they will most likely play the Thunder, who are leading their series 3-0 against the Lakers.

These playoffs have been special so far and it can be anyone’s year to win it all.
