May 6th was the start of the annual OLP fair in New Providence, New Jersey. Here there are rides, games, and food for all ages.
Today I will be interviewing four local freshmen in the New Providence high school to get their inside experience on the OLP fair.
The first NPHS student I interviewed was Eleanor Mazza. She is a 15 year old freshman at NPHS. She has been going to the OLP fair since she was very little and still to this day attends. Her favorite activity to do at the fair is to go on the Polar Express and eat fried oreos and zeppoles. Ever since she was a little girl she loved going to the fair as many days as she could, so she is attempting to attend the fair every day it is in town! Other than the OLP fair Eleanor loves to attend the SPF fair. She likes this fair better since it has a bigger lay out and there are more teenagers to become friends with. According to Eleanor, “Since it’s been in town for so long, it’s very nostalgic and it brings out all of my childhood memories.”
The next NPHS student I interviewed was Riley Orban. She is a 15 year old NPHS freshman. Riley has always had a great time at the OLP fair. Her favorite thing to do at the fair? She said: “I love to go onto the Zipper and especially I love eating the food!” Riley has been going to the OLP fair since she was a little girl and can’t wait to make more memories this year. She has never been to any other fairs that can beat the OLP fair in her opinion.
The third NPHS student that I interviewed about the OLP fair is Avery Ellison. Avery has loved and will always love having a great experience at the OLP fair. She enjoys eating zeppoles and going on the Zipper with her friends. She loves to make new memories and grow relationships with her friends by going on scary rides together. She has attended every day of the fair this year. Avery has had a lot of experience with fairs but her one and only favorite is still the OLP fair: “I’ve been to the Scotch Plains, Chatham and Madison fair. But so far my favorite fair is still the OLP.” The reason that Avery loves the fair so much is because it is very family friendly and that it is very enjoyable.
My last but certainly not least interview was with NPHS freshman Aiden Madrid. Aiden has gone to the fair for years and will continue to go for as long as he can. Since Aiden is a very social person his favorite part of the OLP is making new friends from different towns. Aiden has been to multiple other fairs but none of them live up to the standards of the OLP fair.
