Choosing a college is hard. Students have spent their whole life preparing to choose where they will go for potentially the last few years of their education. When choosing a college, what do students look for? Is it the Campus Life? Is it the affordability? Is it something specific to what they want to major in? I interviewed New Providence’s class of 2026 and asked them what qualities they look for in a college.
Q: What qualities do you look for in a college?
Matteo Agastra: Academics, prestige, vibrant social life, and affordability.
Mia Montero (Committed to Western Connecticut State): I looked for it being reasonably priced, kind of close to home, it has my major, being competitive but not too competitive.
Aidan Fiscelli: It’s got to be in a nice, safe environment that I can spend 4 years chilling in. It’s got to have some good programs, especially for film for me personally, and most importantly its got to have some baddies.
Bryan Amaya: A lot of girls, good academics, good job opportunities. Did I mention hella girls?
