Do you enjoy Marvel movies and are you looking for a new show to watch? Marvel has made many movies such as Avengers Endgame and Avengers Infinity War. Recently they made a new Television Show called Wandavision, directed by Matt Shakman. This show was released on January 15, 2021 and every Friday until March 5th, 2021 a new episode is released. You can watch it on Disney+ if you have a subscription.
This show is about Marvel characters Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Vision(Paul Bettany), who are stuck in a sitcom in Westview New Jersey along with others and they start realizing it’s not what it seems. Wanda has many super powers like telekinesis and the ability to control things with her mind. Vision is a robot and android that has super powers like speed, regeneration, and more.  The members of S.W.O.R.D (Sentient World Observation and Response Department) headquarters are there to try to figure out what’s going on in Westview.  Some of these members are Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris). Each episode you find more clues and more mysteries to be solved.
Some other actors you might recognize or have heard of are the following: Kathryn Hahn as Agatha, Julian Hilliard as Billy Maximoff, Jett Klyne as Tommy Maximoff, and Evan Peters as Pietro Maximoff.
This series will have a total of 9 episodes in the first season ranging from 32 minutes to 47 minutes long. All of them will be on Disney+.
These episodes are so much fun to watch because each episode you start to understand the story better. So many mysteries are brought up, like who’s the real bad guy? What’s going to happen next? Out of all types of shows why are they stuck in a sitcom? Some clues are very hidden so you need to look everywhere, like the newspaper, commercials, and decorations. Anything can have a clue. Some of these hidden messages sometimes even reference other Marvel productions.
Unlike most Marvel productions this was filmed in front of a live audience just like other classic sitcoms. A little fun fact is that like most of the actors this is their first time filming in front of a live audience. Even though Elizabeth Olsen had never filmed this way herself, she grew up watching her sisters film Full House in front of a live audience.
Sitcom shows like Brady Bunch and the Dick Van Dyke Show helped give ideas to the directors for this series for things like the sets, episodes, and costumes.
This show is filled with something for everyone to enjoy, such as humor, mystery, classic sitcoms and more. It is great for people of all ages.
As of right now this series is planned for just one season. However Marvel plans on making a lot of other shows and movies this year.
Overall this show is so amazing and I highly suggest that you watch it.
