Summer is right around the corner which means spending time with family and friends and trips to the beach and the pool! One of my favorite things to do is read a good book at the beach! Here are five, easy to read, read romance book recommendations for this summer!

A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole
Poppy Litchfield met her best friend, Rune Kristiansen, moved from Norway to Georgia, into the house next door. Poppy and Rune become inseparable, until his father reveals that they will be moving back to Norway for a few years. Everyday, Rune and Poppy text and call each other until Poppy cuts off all communication from Rune. Once he returns back to Georgia, he has turned into a different person and has one question. Why did the girl he love with all his heart stop answering him? Once Rune gets his answer, his life changes. He holds onto Poppy without the thought of ever letting her go. This book will bring smiles and tears, and an epic love story between a girl in love with the cherry blossoms and a boy who loves taking photos of his beautiful Poppymin.

Until Friday Night by Abbi Glines
Maggie Carleton and West Ashby have one thing in common. Maggie Carleton’s father killed her mother in front of her. West Ashby’s father and biggest fan is dying a slow death from cancer. Once Maggie moves in with her aunt, uncle, and cousin, she meets West and soon learns that she is not alone. Ever since Maggie witnessed her mother’s death, she has kept quiet and no one has heard her speak since then. That was until West. These two form a connection no one else would understand. This book is book one in the Field Party Series, and is one of the cutest love stories ever!

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
Joshua Templeman and Lucy Hutton have been at each other’s necks since their companies combined. Spending long hours together resulted in The Staring Game, The Mirror Game and The HR Game. Once a new position opens up, these two both are out to get it. The catch? Whoever gets the position will be the other’s boss. This story follows both Joshua and Lucy working their hardest to win but also realizing that they do not hate one another, but exactly the opposite. Once these two realize how much they would do for the other, they realize that this position may just ruin this relationship. This book is one of my favorites and definitely one of my favorite love stories! Also, this book is being turned into a movie and will start shooting in November 2021!

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
Love at first sight is nowhere close to what Tate Collins felt when she met her brother’s best friend, Miles Archer. These two would not be considered friends and know nothing about each other. The one thing they know is that they have an attraction for the other. Miles does not do love, nor does he allow her to ask about the past and think about a future with him. Miles does not want love and may never love anyone else, but Tate wants a future with Miles. This book shows how ugly love can get and how past events can change someone’s point of view of life. While reading about Tate and Miles, you also learn about Miles’s past and Rachel, the name Miles was saying in his sleep the first night Tate saw him. This story will bring tears to your eyes and you will never be able to put it down. Colleen Hoover is one of my favorite authors and never fails to write a beautiful love story.

The Fill-In Boyfriend By Katie West
Gia Montgomery gets dumped at her high school prom before she could go inside. Her friends have never met Bradley and are starting to get suspicious and believe that he is made up. Gia spots a boy in the parking lot and asks him to help her. To pretend to be Bradley for the night. With this unknown boy agreeing to help, Gia owes him a favor, going to his ex-girlfriend’s graduation party. Soon after pretending to be a couple, Gia wonders if she could actually make this relationship a real one. That is until her ex, Bradley, shows up and threatens to destroy her new relationship and her friendships. This story is a cute, quick, and simple read. In the end, some valuable lessons are learned and secrets are exposed. This book may seem cheesy and clichéd, but I promise it is worth reading!
