Product Review: The Corsair K70 LUX RGB

Luke Clausen, staff writer

Corsair is a company that has a good reputation with their products. This is shown with one of their most popular products, the Corsair K70 LUX RGB.

When you get the keyboard it comes with a microfiber cloth and a wrist rest. The keyboard also comes with ICUE which allows the user to utilise the RGB feature completely and sync up with other Corsair products

The K70 keyboard comes with a durable yet low profile look that makes it perfect for any type of setup. The keyboard  has an aluminum back with plastic keys and can support almost all of the Cherry Mx switches. The keyboard takes up two USB 3 ports but has 1 USB port on the back to compensate.

Typing on the keyboard feels smooth and responsive. When playing any type of genre it doesn’t disappoint and gives off no input lag. It feels perfect in any given situation.

In addition when writing long term it doesn’t get uncomfortable and with the added feature of a wrist rest it can be used for hours and hours without any fatigue, and depending on what type of key switch you get you can play whenever and wherever you want.

While the keyboard is comfortable it does have some cons. It doesn’t have any macro keys which can make doing certain tasks more challenging, but there are workarounds, like using ICUE to make a normal key a macro. Another con is the price. Normally the keyboard can be around 180 dollars not counting shipping, which may be a deal breaker to some.

In conclusion the Corsair K70 LUX RGB is probably one of the best keyboards out on the market. With its simple yet durable design, to its customisable options, it’s clearly one of the best options for a gaming keyboard or even a keyboard for the office.
