Bayonne’s Bryan Marquez and Mostafa Moawad each scored a goal as the Bees defeated New Providence, 2-0, on Monday afternoon October 20.
Bayonne (8-8-1) struck first with a goal early on the first half. With the score at 1-0, New Providence (4-10) wasn’t able to muster many shots on goal and were shut out for the seventh time this season. Bayonne added a second goal in the waning moments of the second half, although that proved to be irrelevant.
New Providence goalie Michael Zamora limited the damage in net, totaling 11 saves, while Bayonne keeper Ryan Sprague stopped all five shots sent his way.
